We are looking for a Continuous Engineer who will act as the guardian of our Dry Low Voltage Transformer product portfolio. This person will evaluate and make engineering decisions that protect product design integrity, quality, reliability, and performance while supporting manufacturing plants and cross-functional teams across Mexico and the United States. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with sound judgment, understanding not only how a product is designed, but also how it behaves in real-world applications and manufacturing environments. They are comfortable assessing change requests, balancing risks and trade-offs, and acting as a trusted technical authority for engineering decisions. What You Will Do Own and maintain the released Dry Low Voltage Transformer offer throughout its lifecycle. Support manufacturing plants and cross-functional teams by evaluating engineering requests, product issues, material substitutions, component changes, and process modifications. Assess the impact of proposed changes on product performance, safety, quality, reliability, compliance, manufacturability, and customer application. Review and approve engineering changes, deviations, and alternative materials while ensuring design integrity is maintained. Serve as the technical decision-maker and final authority for engineering changes affecting released products. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, supplier quality, testing, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement sustainable solutions. Maintain and update technical documentation, product structures, bills of materials, and engineering records. Identify opportunities for product standardization, cost optimization, and continuous improvement without compromising quality or functionality. Support root cause investigations and drive corrective actions for recurring product or manufacturing issues. What Will Make You Successful Strong technical judgment and the ability to evaluate the broader impact of engineering decisions. Ability to understand product application, performance, and behavior beyond drawings and specifications. Confidence to challenge changes that could negatively impact quality, reliability, compliance, or customer experience. Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to technical investigations.
Ability to work effectively with manufacturing teams and respond quickly to day-to-day operational challenges. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a general environment. A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for protecting product design while enabling business needs. Requirements 7+ years of experience in electrical, electromechanical, power distribution, transformer, or industrial equipment engineering environments. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in sustaining engineering, product support, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or a related technical role. Experience evaluating engineering changes, material substitutions, deviations, or product modifications. Understanding of electromechanical products, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management. Knowledge of transformer products is preferred; experience with low-voltage power distribution products is a plus. Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and engineering documentation management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with teams across North America. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Rewards designed for you Our Total Rewards is our way of saying: We see you and we value you.
