Electrical systems integration and validation, approve device transmittals, develop vehicle-level logical schematics, conduct design/compatibility reviews, support system-level validation/diagnostics, provide technical support for prototype and pre-production builds.
- What You'll Do...
- Develop vehicle-level Logical Schematics
- Setup DT Structure in VSEM-GDT
- Approve the System aspect of the DT.
- Ensure Generic Fusing Strategy is being followed
- Ensure Generic Grounding Strategy is being followed
- Development of logical schematics
- Execute compatibility review
- Assess Systems FMEA
- Assess/comply with related system requirements (FEDE)
- Coordinate TDR prep and follow with Technical Specialist at gateways and track tasks via JIRA.
- Proto Build (DCV):
- HIL/FDJ Breadboard
- Provide configurations only and extraordinary support if needed
- DCV Breadboard (E/E pre-build system breadboard)
- Determine feature configuration of BB (variants)
- Check BOM to ensure parts are going to be present on BB
- Configure modules (FCT - Ford Converter Tool or EOL simulation)
- Update module SW (getting SW from IVS or JFrog)
- Functional Testing (quick, point to point testing)
- VEV DV Breadboard (DCV signoff)
- Provide Module Configurations (VSCS development)
- Support Troubleshooting
- VEV maintains BOM, SW, Issues Tracking
- VEV executes DV Tests (FEDE)
- Plant Build Kit (NMPDC, Roush, etc.) (DCV Only, TPV is performed by VEV)
- Update SW & configure Modules
- Run Self-test and collect bus query (part number, config, dtc's, etc)
- Troubleshoot Functional Issues
- Vehicle Build (DCV Only, TPV is performed by VEV)
- Troubleshoot Functional Issues
- Functional Test / KOL (100% module coverage - multiple configurations)
- Update SW & configure Modules if required
- Run Self-test and collect bus query (part number, config, dtc's,
etc)
- Pre-Production Builds (i.e. EPT, TT, PP, MP1, MP2, OKTB, PJ1, J1+90)
- Support Manage Module Software Readiness Document (part of NMP LQOS) and utilize SWBOM to track software revision
- Support EOL-VSCS testing (DSC/APTL testing)
- Identify system differences from DCV to TT and update test vehicles
- Update SW in modules (only using SWCM/IVS or JFrog)
- Troubleshoot issues from EOL testing
- Support the replacement of modules in vehicle with 'virgin-ized' modules
- At the plant
- EOL troubleshooting, support DTC masking and CBT
- Functional issues troubleshooting / triage and support extraordinary actions as needed
- Functional Test per control plan/ KOL Auditing per system TDR (aka PVP)
- Support PMT/TPP with On-site Mods (software + config with Movimento)
- VOCF
- DTC Tracker – VE/ Prog Mgm’t has lead.
- Systems will review and identify false codes (i.e. set after SW reflash).
- Support Triage of Issues (D&R; has lead)
- Support Extraordinary actions, support SW Update of Fleet; D&R; has lead; PMT or NMP to coordinate flash party’s
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of automotive experience in wiring and/ or Systems
- 1+ years of proficiency in root cause analysis and authoring well documented 8D’s
- Independent worker and capable of delivering multiple project commitments concurrently
- Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, both written and oral
