Overview

A leading company with rapid growth in the data center sector, recognized among ENR's top 10, offers an excellent career opportunity for an OFCI Engineer. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating commissioning activities with OFCI vendors, subcontractors, and third-party testing agencies. The position is assigned to a job site. A living allowance is provided, and candidates may reside anywhere in North America.

Responsibilities

- Facilitates the scheduling and coordination of commissioning activities with OFCI vendors, subcontractors, and project superintendents.
- Ensure proper documentation of testing results from commissioning activities.
- Manages and coordinates the identification, tracking, and resolution of issues by the commissioning team.
- Develops, implements, and administers project engineering procedures and other work-control documents.
- Ensures that project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule.
- Provides technical support for construction efforts, including participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design documents, application of construction methods,



resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing.
- Represents the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
- Interfaces with all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure construction quality, and support the overall project schedule.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent technical training and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of building construction experience, preferably in data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Experience coordinating vendors, subcontractors, and third-party testing agencies is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate and schedule construction activities effectively.
- Project engineering experience with building commissioning, OFCI coordination, or mission-critical construction is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with a strong understanding of the interdependence between functional project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with teams across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to travel as required.
