Analyst-Compliance

Contribute to the effectiveness and continuous enhancement of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Sanctions, and Financial Crime Compliance Program by performing analytical, advisory, operational, administrative, and coordination activities. The role supports compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and organizational objectives while partnering with business and support functions to strengthen the overall control environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory and support to business units and internal stakeholders on AML/CFT, sanctions, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Analyze and interpret applicable regulations, assessing their impact on products, services, business processes, and internal controls.
- Support the implementation of regulatory changes, internal policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Participate in business, technology, and transformation initiatives to ensure AML/CFT requirements are incorporated into new products, services, systems, and processes.
- Perform case reviews and investigations related to AML/CFT risks, documenting findings and escalating matters that may represent regulatory or financial crime risk.
- Participate in the review of transaction monitoring alerts, investigations, customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions screening results, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) reviews, and other Financial Crime Compliance activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Support the execution of financial sanctions processes by reviewing potential matches against domestic and international sanctions lists and assessing associated risks.
- Prepare analyses, management reports, performance metrics, dashboards, executive presentations, and other documentation required by management and governance committees.
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of policies, procedures, methodologies, standards, and other governance documentation.
- Coordinate and respond to information requests from Internal Audit, External Audit, regulators, supervisory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Track remediation plans, corrective actions, audit findings, regulatory observations, and compliance commitments through completion.
- Prepare materials and documentation for governance committees, working groups, and executive meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are effectively implemented across the organization.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices, assessing their potential impact and supporting implementation efforts.
- Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate Financial Crime Compliance processes and controls.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure appropriate organization, retention, and confidentiality of documentation managed by the department.
- Support administrative, operational, and project-related activities that contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Perform additional AML/CFT, Sanctions, and Financial Crime Compliance responsibilities as assigned by management.

- 2 to 4 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Financial Crime Compliance, Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Internal Controls, or within the financial services industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- CAMS, "Certificación en Materia de Operaciones con Recursos de Procedencia Ilícita" or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Experience using transaction monitoring systems, case management platforms, sanctions screening tools, or other Financial Crime Compliance technologies.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools.
