Role DescriptionTechnical Skills
- Backend Engineering: Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring Boot, secure REST API design, and backend testing (JUnit 5, Mockito).
- Frontend Engineering: Strong hands-on React experience (JavaScript/TypeScript), component-driven development,
and unit testing with Jest React Testing Library.
- AWS Cloud Experience: Proven experience deploying/running services on AWS, especially EKS/Kubernetes, using Docker, Helm, ECR, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, and Route53.
- CI/CD & GitOps: Experience with Bitbucket/Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, and artifact management.
- Security Remediation Skills: Ability to interpret and fix findings from PEN testing.
- Collaboration & Tracking: Strong coordination skills to manage vulnerability remediation across teams using Jira/Confluence, with clear communication via Slack/MS Teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and React.
- Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable REST APIs.
- Deploy and support applications running on AWS.
- Work closely with QA, DevOps, Product, and Security teams throughout the SDLC.
- Analyze vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing, SAST, DAST, and security scans.
- Identify the affected code modules and implement secure fixes following OWASP secure coding guidelines.
- Validate remediation by working with security teams during re-testing.
- Participate in security code reviews and ensure secure development best practices are followed.
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation activities across multiple engineering teams and track closure using Jira.
- Contribute to improving application security posture by identifying recurring vulnerability patterns and recommending preventive measures.
- Interpret penetration testing reports and understand the technical root cause. Perform secure code fixes for identified vulnerabilities.
- Work with security teams during validation and retesting. Ensure vulnerabilities are closed within agreed SLAs.
- Ability to collaborate with security teams to resolve findings from penetration testing and automated security scans.
- Experience in identifying, analyzing and remediating application security vulnerabilities.
Good to Have
- Exposure to penetration testing methodologies and familiarity with common security assessment tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, OpenVAS, Nmap, Achilles, Codenomicon and SAST/DAST platforms.
- Experience with SonarQube, Blackduck etc security tools.
- Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, TLS and API security.
- Knowledge of container security (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud security best practices.
- Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of work experience in relevant field.
- B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred.
