We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established California family law firm for an experienced Intake Specialist to join their team on a full-time, remote basis.

Role title: Intake Specialist

Hours: Full-time (PST hours)

Industry: Law

Rate: $900 per month base pay + performance bonus of up to $350 per month

This is not a traditional call centre role. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for prospective clients and play a critical role in the firm's growth. You should view yourself as a sales professional for the law firm, building rapport with prospective clients, understanding their circumstances, overcoming objections and helping them take the next step in instructing the firm.

Previous US law firm intake experience is essential, with family law experience strongly preferred.

During quieter periods, you will also provide operational and administrative support directly to the firm's owner, making this a varied and rewarding position.

Responsibilities

- Handle inbound enquiries from prospective clients by telephone, email and other communication channels.
- Build rapport with prospective clients and deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Qualify potential new matters and gather all relevant information.
- Explain the firm's services and confidently convert enquiries into booked consultations for the attorney.




- Overcome objections and guide prospective clients through the engagement process.
- Schedule consultations and maintain accurate records within the firm's case management system.
- Follow up with prospective clients where appropriate.
- Assist the firm owner with operational and administrative tasks during quieter periods.
- Work collaboratively with the legal team to ensure an outstanding client onboarding experience.

Requirements

- Previous intake experience for a US law firm (essential).
- Previous family law intake experience (preferred).
- Ability to convert enquiries into retained clients.
- Strong objection-handling skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Professional, confident and empathetic telephone manner.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Willingness to work full-time during US Pacific Time (PT) business hours.
- Fast and reliable fibre internet and a laptop a minimum of 8GB RAM. Professional headset with integrated microphone. Earbuds are not suitable for client calls.
- Dedicated, quiet and professional workspace suitable for video meetings.
