Everforth Apex Systems Mexico is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to support enterprise-scale data platform modernization, governance, and analytics initiatives. This role is idóneo for a hands-on data engineering professional with strong expertise in Snowflake , DBT , data governance, and modern cloud data architectures.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Data Architects, Governance teams, and business stakeholders to build scalable data solutions, enhance metadata and lineage capabilities, improve data quality, and enable advanced analytics and AI use cases. This position combines technical delivery, platform engineering, governance enablement, and mentoring responsibilities within a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation processes within Snowflake.
- Build and support data models leveraging modern ELT frameworks and best practices.
- Develop DBT models, testing frameworks, and transformation workflows.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Support migration and onboarding of data from enterprise and legacy systems into Snowflake.




- Design and support integrations across Snowflake, Salesforce FSC, and enterprise applications.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, and migration activities.
- Contribute to modernization efforts by implementing cloud-native integration patterns.
- Maintain and enhance existing integration frameworks and data flows.
- Support metadata harvesting, lineage tracking, and ingestion processes across platforms.
- Assist with implementation of governance processes including stewardship, certification, and metadata management.
- Create and maintain business glossaries, metadata repositories, and lineage documentation.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to improve data traceability and governance adoption.
- Implement data quality controls, monitoring frameworks, and scorecards.
- Define and maintain business rules and data quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues across critical business domains.
- Improve observability and trusted-data practices across the data ecosystem.
- Support analytics initiatives and data products that drive business insights.
- Assist with implementation of Snowflake capabilities supporting advanced analytics and AI workloads.
- Enable access to trusted and governed enterprise data assets.
- Participate in architecture discussions, backlog refinement, and technical planning.
- Mentor team members and provide technical knowledge transfer.
- Document standards, operational procedures, onboarding materials, and best practices.




- Collaborate effectively across engineering, architecture, governance, and business teams.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related data platform roles.
- Strong experience with modern ELT/ETL methodologies and data engineering best practices.
- Advanced SQL development and performance optimization skills.
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-based data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with structured and semi-structured data.
- Strong experience with Snowflake development, administration, and optimization .
- Experience building and supporting DBT transformation frameworks and models.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts, data warehousing, and analytics architectures.
- Experience with metadata management, lineage tracking, and governance practices.
- Knowledge of data quality management and observability frameworks.
- Experience supporting enterprise integrations and data movement initiatives.
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.
- English proficiency level C1 or higher is a requirement.
