Oracle EBS Projects Functional Consultant / Solution Architect

Location: Remote – Mexico-based consultants only

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Projects Functional Consultant / Solution Architect to support client implementation and production support projects. The resource will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing and delivering functional solutions, performing Oracle EBS configurations, preparing functional and technical design documentation, troubleshooting issues, and supporting system enhancements.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, internal teams, and external partners to deliver effective solutions within complex Oracle EBS environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide functional support for Oracle E-Business Suite Projects , including Projects Foundation, Projects Planning & Control, Project Costing, Project Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable .
- Support end-to-end Prospect-to-Report business processes and related Oracle Projects flows.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Oracle EBS functional solutions.
- Configure and maintain Oracle Projects modules based on business requirements and system upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues, system errors, data problems, and business process concerns.
- Perform root-cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions for recurring issues.
- Prepare functional design documents, configuration documents, test plans, user guides, and training materials .
- Collaborate with technical teams to define requirements, review technical solutions,



and support development and testing.
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for enhancements, patches, and system updates.
- Support data migration, data validation, and data quality activities related to Oracle Projects.
- Participate in business meetings to understand requirements and present multiple solution options.
- Provide end-user training and ongoing production support.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders while managing assigned responsibilities independently.
- Work effectively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Support both Oracle EBS implementation and production support projects .
- Stay current with Oracle EBS releases, functionality, and best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10–12 years of hands-on Oracle EBS Projects experience .
- Strong functional expertise in:
- Oracle Projects Foundation
- Projects Planning & Control
- Project Costing
- Project Billing
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Oracle Projects business processes.
- Experience with Oracle EBS configuration, setup, implementation, and production support .
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex functional and data-related issues.
- Experience working with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes , including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Experience with SQL/PLSQL or similar querying/reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer-facing and relationship-management skills.
