About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bilingual (Spanish <> English) Removal Defense Paralegal to join one of our U.S. clients’ immigration law firms.

The adecuado candidate has strong hands-on experience supporting U.S. immigration law firms, with a significant focus on Removal Defense cases and removal proceedings. This role requires a solid understanding of immigration court procedures, case preparation, filing requirements, deadlines, and the day-to-day technical aspects of supporting attorneys in removal defense matters.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple cases while working closely with attorneys and legal teams. Hands-on experience with the EOIR Courts & Appeals System (ECAS) and MyCase is required.

Who You Are

- An experienced Immigration Paralegal with hands-on experience supporting U.S. immigration law firms.
- Experienced in Removal Defense and removal proceedings.
- Knowledgeable about the procedural and technical requirements involved in Removal Defense cases.
- Comfortable supporting attorneys with case preparation, filings, deadlines, and court-related matters.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

- Proficient in ECAS and MyCase and comfortable learning and navigating legal technology.
- Able to work independently while maintaining accuracy and consistency across multiple matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide paralegal support for Removal Defense and removal proceedings.
- Assist attorneys with the preparation, organization, and management of removal defense cases.
- Prepare and organize case documents, evidence, forms, and supporting materials for attorney review and filing.
- Assist with filings and case-related tasks through the EOIR Courts & Appeals System (ECAS).
- Monitor court deadlines, filing requirements, hearings, and other important case dates.




- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files in MyCase.
- Conduct case-related administrative and procedural tasks as directed by attorneys.
- Assist with preparing documentation and evidence for immigration court proceedings.
- Track case status and follow up on pending matters to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Communicate with attorneys and legal team members regarding case updates, outstanding documents, deadlines, and next steps.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client and case information with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

- Strong written and verbal English & Spanish communication skills.
- Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal supporting a U.S. immigration law firm.
- Significant hands-on experience with Removal Defense cases and removal proceedings.
- Strong understanding of the technical and procedural aspects of Removal Defense matters.
- Hands-on experience using the EOIR Courts & Appeals System (ECAS) — required.
- Hands-on experience using MyCase — required.
- Experience preparing and organizing documents and evidence for immigration court matters.
- Experience tracking court deadlines, hearings, and case-related requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal teams.
- Commitment to confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive legal matters.
