The role: The Electrotechnical Officer (ETO) is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the vessel’s electrical, electronic, automation, control, and safety systems. The role supports the Engineering team in maintaining vessel availability and operational continuity while ensuring compliance with applicable HSSE standards, company procedures, and maritime regulations. This is a temporary position, established to support the Company’s operational requirements for a defined period. Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and maintain the vessel’s electrical power generation, distribution, and electrical systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and control equipment onboard. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, electronic, automation, and control system faults to support safe and reliable vessel operations. Maintain and support onboard automation, monitoring, alarm, communication, and safety systems.



Assist with the operation and maintenance of engine room equipment and coordinate activities with the Engineering team. Conduct inspections, testing, and functional checks of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Support planned maintenance activities and ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with company procedures and vessel requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation related to electrical and electronic systems. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company HSSE standards, vessel procedures, applicable maritime regulations, and class requirements. Participate in emergency response, drills, and other activities related to vessel safety and operational readiness. Coordinate with other departments and crew members to minimize operational disruptions and ensure effective completion of maintenance activities.
