New Fortress Energy is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our Mexico City team. GAAP income tax accounting and reporting process for our Mexico operations and serve as a key liaison between the Mexico Tax and Controllership teams and U.Corporate Tax and Financial Reporting. The idóneo candidate brings strong hands-on experience with ASC 740, Mexican tax requirements, and tax reporting within a multinational or public-company environment.

As Senior Manager, Tax Accounting , you will play a key role in NFE's Mexico tax organization, leading the tax accounting and reporting process while working closely with the Mexico Tax and Controllership teams and NFE's U.based Corporate Tax and Financial Reporting teams.

GAAP income tax provision (ASC 740) process for NFE's Mexico operations, including current and deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and valuation allowance assessments.
Maintain and strengthen tax-related SOX internal controls and supporting documentation for the Mexico tax reporting process.




Partner closely with the Global Tax Provision and Financial Reporting teams in the U.S. to ensure consistent application of ASC 740 methodology and timely consolidation of local tax data.
Assist with the preparation and filing of Mexican statutory financial statements and tax returns , ensuring alignment between local reporting and U.GAAP tax reporting.
Serve as the primary technical bridge between Mexican local GAAP and U.GAAP tax reporting , resolving book-to-tax and statutory-to-U.Proactively identify and escalate emerging tax positions, technical matters, risks, and timing issues to the Mexico Tax Director and U.Corporate Tax team well ahead of quarter- and year-end deadlines.
Coordinate across Mexico Controllership, Mexico Tax, and U.Corporate Tax/Reporting on the integrated close and tax calendar, ensuring cross-functional dependencies, deliverables, and deadlines are appropriately managed.
