Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Tax Analyst will be familiar with the activities related to the monthly tax compliance, including tax calculations, fulfillment of returns, preparation of information returns, tax accounting, reconciliations, etc. These positions will help to analyze all the data needed for filing the tax refund claims as well as prepare working papers to demonstrate the validity of the transactions with vendors, members, employee reimbursements, etc.; therefore, he/she must have good knowledge of the accounting standards and the tax regulatory framework. In addition, these positions are responsible for gathering, processing and analyzing low and medium complexity working papers in regard to the requirements of the Authorities in connection with the VAT refunds, offsetting of favorable tax balances, or field audits.

Detailed Responsibilities

Obtain and analyze the working papers of the provisional tax payments subject to a refund of taxes.
Obtain and analyze the working papers of the annual returns subject to a refund of taxes.




Prepare the draft of the tax refund applications.
Analyze and understand the requests for information issued by the SAT.
Prepare the working papers to deal with authority demands.
Obtain and analyze documentation that serves as evidence to demonstrate the origin of the balances in favor.
Upload all the required information to the SAT’s technological platform.

Qualifications

Skills:

Technical skills
Good understanding in accounting standards for multinational corporations.
Advance knowledge of the federal and state tax framework.
Corporate taxes.
Proficient in the use of excel.
Advanced knowledge in handling tax refunds software.
Proven experience with ERPs such as Oracle or SAP.

Ability to perform a wide variety of tax activities of a broad scope.
