Role Description The Junior Strategic Planner is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mexico City, Mexico, with the flexibility to work part of the time from home. This role supports senior planners and account teams by analyzing market and consumer data, identifying insights, and contributing to strategy development for integrated brand and communication campaigns.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and audience research, helping define brand and communication objectives, and preparing clear, compelling strategic recommendations and briefs for creative teams.
The Junior Strategic
Planner collaborates closely with creative, account management,
and media teams to ensure strategies are aligned, actionable, and measurable. The role also involves monitoring campaign performance, preparing reports, and helping optimize plans to improve effectiveness over time.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights.
- Experience or coursework in market research, including audience analysis, competitive reviews, and trend identification.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly in written documents and presentations.
- Foundational strategic planning capabilities, including understanding brand positioning, consumer journeys, and campaign objectives.
- Basic operational planning skills, such as organizing project tasks, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in presentation and productivity tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel) and comfort working with data dashboards or research platforms.
- Curiosity about culture, media, and technology, and a proactive mindset toward learning and professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote work effectively.
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish is highly beneficial.
