Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports the diverse learning needs of all students.Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles and abilities.Assess, record, and report on the progress, development, and attainment of students regularly.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians.Develop and maintain classroom routines that promote respect, responsibility, and positive behaviour.Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience for all students.Participate in staff meetings, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student learning and well-being.Uphold school policies and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and professionalism.Identify and respond to the individual needs of students, including those with special educational needs or learning difficulties.Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and engagement.Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceSkills:Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methodsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesAbility to create a supportive, inclusive,
and positive classroom environmentEffective classroom management and behaviour management skillsGood organizational and time-management skillsProficiency in using educational technology and digital teaching toolsAbility to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needsCollaborative mindset with the ability to work as part of a teamQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related fieldTeaching certification or licensure valid for the specific state, region, or countryAdditional qualifications or training in special education, literacy, or curriculum development (desirable)Experience:Previous experience teaching elementary-aged children (typically 1–3 years or more)Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and learning abilitiesFamiliarity with the curriculum and educational standards relevant to the schoolExperience in lesson planning, assessment, and classroom managementParticipation in professional development and ongoing teacher trainingISP PrinciplesBegin with our children and studentsOur children and students are at the heart of what we do.
