Role Description The Materials Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Juárez, CHH, responsible for overseeing all materials, inventory, and production planning activities within the facility. This role manages material flows from suppliers to production and through to finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels, timely availability of components, and alignment with customer demand.
The Materials
Manager collaborates with production, purchasing, logistics, and finance to develop and maintain accurate material plans, resolve shortages, and improve inventory accuracy. Daily responsibilities include monitoring inventory metrics, analyzing usage trends, updating material requirements plans (MRP), and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient operations. The role also drives process improvements, supports cost reduction initiatives, and ensures compliance with Tecma’s quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Materials Management and Inventory Management skills to oversee material flow and stock accuracy.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Control experience to manage cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecast demand, and support decision-making for material and production planning.
- Candidates should possess Production Planning capabilities to align material availability with manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics environments, preferably within cross-border or nearshoring operations.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel or similar tools for reporting and analysis.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Juárez, CHH, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish language skills are highly beneficial.
