Job description:
- Receive details of the overage/shortage from the Sales Dept.
/ Customer
- Obtain load out tickets from the terminal and/or POD's from Logistics Dept.
- Perform a reconciliation on the number of pieces/bundles loaded/delivered to the customer against the Vessel Packing List, for the size(s) in question.
- Liaise with Logistics/Claim Manager/Sales/Surveyor/Terminal/Customer to ensure overage/shortage is resolved to the most-acceptable conclusion.
- Reconcile against inventory report from the terminal
- Calculate breakdown per customer
- Inform appropriate sales dept.
- Send reminders to customers
- Set up simple database to track storage costs per customer per port
Applicant attributes:
- Bachelor's degree (International Business/Supply Chain is a plus)
- Detail oriented
- General knowledge of the steel industry is a plus
- Familiarity with Import/Export and incoterms is a plus
- Must be well organized, with good time management and highly detail oriented
- Logistic background is a strong asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- SAP is a strong asset
- English is mandatory
