Strategy development Create and execute shortterm and longterm commodity strategies, including make or buy decisions.
Spend and cost analysis Use data to analyze spending, create cost models, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and negotiation.
Supplier management Develop, qualify, and manage a regional supplier base, including conducting supplier performance reviews and risk assessments.
Crossfunctional collaboration Work with departments such as engineering, planning, quality, and manufacturing to ensure the smooth flow of goods and support new product introductions NPI.
Market intelligence Monitor market conditions, technology trends, and geopolitical factors that could impact the supply of raw materials.
Contract negotiation Lead negotiations for contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and lead times.
Performance tracking Track and report on key metrics, such as cost reduction targets, supplier ontime delivery, and quality performance.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, business, or engineering.



Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and contract negotiation. Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and with international suppliers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, PowerPoint, Project and other relevant software. Advanced English proficiency is preferred, especially for roles with international suppliers. Experience with mechanical commodities, manufacturing processes, or the specific industry e.g., metals, plastics is preferred.
