Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Record journal entries, income, and expense transactions
- Perform monthly reconciliation of accounting accounts
- Verify income accounts in both internal accounting and SAT (Mexican tax authority) records
- Safeguard, organize, and archive accounting, tax, and administrative documentation
- Prepare and submit special reports requested by corporate clients
- Complete and submit mandatory surveys to INEGI (Mexican statistics institute)
- Manage RFC updates, tax declarations, and withholding tax payments
- Prepare and interpret financial reports for internal and external clients
- Prepare financial statements and general ledgers
- Draft financial analysis and monthly expense comparison reports
- Perform monthly and annual accounting closings
- Handle tax procedures with government agencies (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, INEGI, State Government)
- Determine provisional VAT and ISR payments
- Prepare and file VAT refund requests through the SAT portal
- Perform monthly reviews of VAT credit balances in accordance with accounting and filed returns
- Closely monitor VAT refund status through the SAT tax mailbox
- Respond to VAT refund-related requirements, including explanations, document submissions, and clarifications
Experiência y requisitos




- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a maquiladora or industrial environment
- In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax law, SAT procedures, IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, and payroll-related compliance
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., CONTPAQi, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
