**Job Summary**
Closer is responsible for auditing, verifying, and ensuring that the mortgage loan closing disclosures are accurate and comply with regulations and timelines.
They work with Branch Production and Processing teams as necessary to validate fees associated to the transaction to prepare the initial Closing Disclosure.
They are responsible for reviewing the mortgage loan file after final loan approval for changes and updates.
They are responsible for preparing and drawing all final loan closing documents in accordance with investor requirements and company guidelines for borrowers to sign prior to funding.
They help coordinate with the Branch Production and Processing teams, as well as settlement agents, in order to deliver disclosure documents to the borrower on or before the closing date.
Reviews and ensures accuracy and data integrity of required compliance disclosures at closing.
- Reviews borrower documents for accuracy.
- Reviews estimated HUDs for accuracy in closing dates, seller concessions, and required funds from borrower and fees collected in relation to transaction.
- Reviews estimated Closing Disclosures for accuracy in closing dates, seller concessions, and required funds from borrower and fees collected in relation to transaction
- Prepares and Delivers mortgage loan closing disclosures (CD) in a secure manner.
- Prepares and Delivers mortgage loan change of circumstance disclosures (COC CD) in a secure manner.
- Sets up loan files for closing.
- Prepares and draws all final loan closing documents
- Reviews signed loan documents for discrepancies with signatures and missing dates prior to funding conditions as per Underwriter approval.
- Reviews and ensures accuracy and data integrity of required compliance disclosures.




- Balances the file
- Assists the Loan Officer and Processor in answering concerns regarding fees, impounds, etc.
- Maintains up to date and accurate data in system for reports, file tracking, productivity and communication records.
- Reviews and ensures accuracy and data integrity of required compliance disclosures.
- Follow up with any post-closing issues that may arise.
- Resolve funding discrepancies with the Accounting Department and Shipping Department
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Reports any potential or vigente violations of such policies, practices or procedures to Compliance Manager.
- Complies with the policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook
**Requirements**:
- B2 English level or equivalent.
- Prior experience in administrative functions, documentation handling, or related areas.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, economics, or something similar is preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Capable of working with interdisciplinary teams, prioritizing tasks, and being self-directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ethically oriented, empathetic, organized, and dedicated to continuous improvement.
