We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's high-performing nearshoring team , supporting a medical device technology client. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for backend systems running on QNX OS , collaborating closely with embedded software engineers and cross-functional stakeholders .

This is a full-time, remote position , and the successful candidate will bring deep backend/embedded DevOps expertise — not primarily front-end or cloud-only infrastructure experience — to deliver exceptional results . Candidates whose resumes show only cloud/infrastructure services work, without concrete, documented DevOps project ownership (pipelines built, releases automated, build systems maintained), will not be considered a match for this role.

? Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend systems running on QNX OS. Manage build, integration, and release automation for embedded/backend software using Jenkins. Collaborate with embedded software engineers and architects to translate backend requirements into automated pipeline solutions.

Manage cross-compilation toolchains, artifact repositories, and versioning for QNX-based backend builds. Perform pipeline/code reviews and enforce DevOps best practices within the team. Troubleshoot and optimize existing CI/CD infrastructure and build systems for backend/embedded environments.





Integrate automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop where applicable) into pipelines. Support traceability and compliance requirements relevant to medical device software (e.g., IEC 62304) within CI/CD processes. Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a strong focus on backend/infrastructure systems (not primarily front-end or cloud-only environments). Resume/CV must explicitly document DevOps project experience — e.g., specific pipelines designed, build/release automation implemented, or build systems maintained. Cloud or infrastructure services experience alone, without this documented project history, does not meet this requirement. Proven, hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for backend systems running specifically on QNX OS. Strong expertise with Jenkins for pipeline design, build automation, and release management. Solid understanding of embedded/real-time operating systems and cross-compilation toolchains (C/C++ build environments).

Experience with version control tools (Git) and artifact/dependency management for embedded builds. Familiarity with automated testing integration for backend/embedded systems (unit, integration, hardware-in-the-loop). Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python, or similar) for build and deployment automation.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
