Telekomplex is looking for a highly experienced Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Technical Architect / Upgrade Engineer to support a customer project involving the modernization of a long-running on-premises Primavera P6 EPPM environment .

This is a hands-on technical upgrade and migration engagement . We are not looking for a Primavera scheduler or functional planning consultant.

The idóneo professional has personally executed complex P6 EPPM version upgrades , including the underlying database, operating system, Java/application server stack, configuration, testing, and production cutover.

Project Scope The engagement includes:

- Assessment of an existing Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM environment
- Identification of the current P6 version and supported upgrade path
- Design of the target P6 EPPM architecture
- Build and configuration of a new parallel environment
- Installation and configuration of the required P6 EPPM components
- Microsoft SQL Server installation and configuration
- P6 database migration and upgrade
- Execution of intermediate upgrade steps where required
- Java runtime and application server configuration
- Reproduction of existing P6 administration and security configuration
- Authentication, certificates and integration configuration
- Multiple rehearsal upgrades using copies of the production database
- Technical validation and troubleshooting
- Performance and backup validation
- Production cutover planning and execution
- Rollback / go-no-go planning
- Post-cutover stabilization
- As-built documentation and operational handover

Required Experience We are looking for strong hands-on experience with:

- Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM
- P6 EPPM installation, configuration and administration
- P6 EPPM version upgrades
- P6 database upgrade procedures
- Oracle-supported upgrade paths and compatibility matrices

- Windows Server
- Java runtime environments
- Enterprise application server configuration
- P6 authentication and security configuration
- P6 integrations and dependencies
- Database backup, restore and migration
- Production migration rehearsals
- Technical troubleshooting
- Production cutovers and rollback planning
- Technical documentation and runbook creation

Infrastructure Knowledge Experience working with environments involving:

- VMware
- Windows Server
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Enterprise backup processes
- Certificates and authentication
- Application/database connectivity
- Infrastructure hardening

is highly desirable.

What Matters Most

We need someone who has actually performed Primavera P6 EPPM technical upgrades in production environments .

Experience using P6 as a scheduler is not sufficient for this role.

You should be able to examine an older P6 environment, identify its dependencies, determine the correct supported upgrade sequence, build the replacement environment, migrate the database, rehearse the process, identify risks, and confidently execute the final production cutover.
