The main activities for a Human Factors Specialist include:
- Support Human Factor Design Requirement maintenance & updates considering design evolution, human factors peer research and other external influences such as regulations.
(Design Requirement Examples: Touch Surface Contact Size, Spacing between digital buttons, Legibility - Text Size, Contrast of elements, etc)
- Modernize our human factors design requirement library within our design tool (Figma) to deploy requirements in a concise / visual manner.
- Support research to modernize and develop sound requirements.
- Capture / communicate coming changes to regulations.
- Support Human Factor Design Requirement compliance through design verification methods
- Establish requirement verifications plans in our requirement compliance database (FEDE)
- Manage design requirement deviations
- Maintain timeline of vehicle program milestones and compliance deliverables and communicate to team.
