An international company specializing in commercial construction and project-based operations is seeking an experienced and highly proactive Senior Project Engineer to support the successful execution of complex projects.

This position is ideal for a self-driven professional with strong experience in project engineering, construction coordination, and electrical scopes who can work independently while collaborating closely with project leadership and field teams.

The selected candidate will help manage projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring documentation, schedules, costs, procurement activities, and project requirements remain organized and on track.

Key Responsibilities

- Support project management activities from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Prepare, coordinate, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Maintain project schedules, logs, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Review construction plans, technical specifications, and drawings related to electrical scopes.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, purchasing activities, and material requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, project teams, and field personnel to maintain project schedules.
- Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparation when required.
- Identify potential risks, delays, or project issues and proactively communicate recommended solutions.
- Follow up on outstanding project items and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Work closely with project leadership while maintaining the ability to independently manage assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably within commercial electrical construction.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience managing projects or major project responsibilities with limited supervision.




- Hands-on experience with submittals, RFIs, change orders, project documentation, and scheduling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with remote and on-site project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify problems and take initiative without constant direction.
- Ability to work according to U.S. Pacific Time business hours.
- Currently located in Hermosillo, Sonora.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous estimating or quantity takeoff experience.
- Experience using construction management platforms such as Procore or Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with U.S. commercial construction practices, codes, and standards, including the NEC.
- Experience working on electrical or other technically complex construction projects.

Schedule

- Monday through Friday
