Job Summary
- To support our extraordinary teams, which build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Sr Data Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
- Reporting to the Supply Chain Solution Manager, the Sr Data Engineer role is responsible for technical and solution-oriented work, with a strong focus on project management to oversee the successful execution of data-related projects
- What a typical day looks like:
- Interfaces with customer or supplier in new project start-up, for cost of ownership issues.
- Tracks materials' financial performance and initiates corrective actions when required.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
- Optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage and administer databases, ensuring data integrity and security.




- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop technical solutions that meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure the availability of high-quality data.
- Oversee data engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Communicate project statuses and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent English skills.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Notions of supply chain or similar areas.
- Proficiency in SQL development and experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation libraries.
- Project management skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
