**The**Opportunity**:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated Accounting Analyst.
This position is located on-site in Estado de Mexico.
Under limited supervision, maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
Receive, process, and reconcile statements.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for managers.
Generate and review monthly reports.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
Under general supervision, work collaboratively with others in the organization to provide detailed reports that include projections for profits and losses.
Present financial reports and estimates to decision makers within the organization.
Utilize math skills to analyze key financial data.
Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.
Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities.
Record accounting entries for various expenses categories, process entries in Protean (MX system) and manage accounting of reimbursement, travel & representation, and payroll expenses.
**What we're looking for**
- ** Education**:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- **Experience**:_ 2+ years of experience in accounting or similar position _
- SAP experience is a plus
- Mexico Fiscal (Income Tax, VAT, CFF) experience
- Bilingual (Spanish and English at least 50%)
- Basic Knowledge of Mexico legislation
- Microsoft Excel (Intermediate), able to work pivot tables
- Able to work with ERP systems
- Knowledge of general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Knowledge of parent and subsidiary accounting

As a major team contributor, this person will partner with carriers to:
- Responsible for tracking and journaling holding company activity in APM general ledger.
- Register and maintain accounting entries records on the company system (Reimbursements & travel expenses; vendor and payroll payments).
- Maintain the chart of accounts up to date.
- Register and process payroll entries and reporting.
- Register and balance petty cash
- Follow the safety rules for its proper implementation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing; prepare necessary journal entries and accruals.
- Monthly and quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to the general ledger.
- Perform inter-company accounting and reconciliations.
- Perform regular month-end closing activities and consolidation activities for Mexico Finance.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports upon request with MS Excel analysis.
- Ensures accuracy and consistency in reporting of data.
- Audit support.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
