The Training Development Manager oversees the design, production, and delivery of high-quality, learner-centered training programs. This role manages a team of Training Developers, LMS specialists, and Video Designers while ensuring operational excellence, instructional quality, project execution, and strategic alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership & Coaching: providing regular coaching, actionable feedback, professional development opportunities, and clear performance expectations.
- Instructional Quality Oversight: Establish, maintain, and continuously raise instructional design quality standards across all learning products. Build a quality assurance culture by coaching developers and strengthening peer review processes.
- Project & Pipeline Management: Oversee content production timelines and workload balancing. Proactively identify risks, communicate delays before they impact stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered accurately.
- Operational Excellence & Accountability: Demonstrate exceptional ownership by identifying challenges early, communicating proactively, and ensuring commitments are completed without requiring executive follow-up.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with subject matter experts, client-facing teams, department leaders, and executive leadership to understand business needs, align learning priorities, communicate project progress, and ensure learning solutions support organizational objectives.
- Process Improvement & Documentation: Maintain and continuously improve departmental workflows, SOPs, templates, and quality assurance processes to improve instructional quality.
- Performance Measurement:



Monitor learning effectiveness through LMS data. Analyze trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations that enhance learning effectiveness and departmental performance.
- Strategic Contribution: identifying emerging organizational needs, recommending innovative learning solutions, improving instructional processes, and helping scale the department as the organization grows.
- Curriculum Development: Design and develop instructional materials for e-learning, instructor-led training, assessments, activities, videos, job aids, and self-paced learning experiences while modeling best practices in instructional design.
- Team Recruitment & Hiring: Participate in recruitment, interviewing, candidate evaluation, onboarding, and development of future Training Development team members.
- AI & Learning Technology Mindset: leveraging AI and emerging learning technologies to improve instructional design. Continuously evaluates new tools and identifies opportunities to responsibly integrate AI into team workflows.

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 09:00 am to 06:00 pm MX Time

Minimum requirements

- 3–5+ years of experience in instructional design or training development.
- 2+ years of experience managing or leading a team in L&D; or a similar function.
- Strong portfolio of learning projects that demonstrate design quality and learner engagement.
- Experience working with LMS platforms (TalentLMS preferred) and authoring tools (e.g., Rise, Storyline, Powtoon).
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
