POSITION SUMMARY The Vice President, Operations & Quality leads global manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and logistics for the Sensors & Mechatronics (S&M;) business unit. This executive role is accountable for safe, efficient, compliant production of high-quality products that meet customer expectations and support strategic growth.

The VP develops and executes long-term operations strategies focused on operational excellence, quality leadership, cost competitiveness, global standardization, manufacturing footprint optimization, scalable growth, ROA improvement, working capital discipline, supply chain resilience, and customer satisfaction.

Scope includes global S&M; manufacturing operations, quality, materials management, logistics, advanced manufacturing engineering, production tooling, APQP, service and low-volume production strategies, and manufacturing footprint planning. The role aligns operational capabilities with business growth, from product launch through full-scale production, while building a culture of quality, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturing Strategy, Business Planning & Footprint Optimization

- Develop and execute the global manufacturing strategy in alignment with business unit objectives.
- Represent manufacturing in product development, ensuring DFM objectives are met before design freeze and manufacturing concepts are standardized.
- Implement manufacturing location business models that support growth, customer requirements, and future business strategies.
- Maintain a long-term global footprint strategy that optimizes cost, capacity, flexibility, customer proximity, and risk mitigation.

Operational Excellence & Cost Leadership

- Lead site performance reviews, monitor key operational and business indicators, and drive improvement actions.
- Deploy Lean Manufacturing Systems, value stream management, and continuous improvement practices across S&M; operations.
- Drive productivity, waste elimination, automation, value engineering, standardization, and cost leadership initiatives.
- Develop Cost Improvement Programs that meet or exceed annual objectives and validate results with Finance.

Quality Excellence & Customer Satisfaction

- Set the strategic quality direction, including scrap reduction, defect prevention, quality system improvements, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Ensure global quality improvement execution, resource allocation, training, and adherence to quality management systems and customer-specific requirements.
- Promote variation reduction, root cause analysis, prevention of recurrence, continuous improvement, and process capability.
- Serve as executive sponsor for major customer quality, delivery, and operational escalations.

Materials, Logistics & Risk Management

- Optimize inventory, working capital, material flow,



logistics performance, and supply chain efficiency while supporting business growth objectives.
- Work with Supply Chain Lead to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring robust contingency planning and business continuity across integral operations.

Advanced Manufacturing Engineering & Product Launch Excellence

- Lead advanced manufacturing engineering, tooling, automation, and process development for current products and future growth.
- Ensure strong new product launches through APQP, launch readiness reviews, manufacturing validation, and disciplined program execution.
- Standardize manufacturing concepts with engineering and product development to support scalable, efficient operations.
- Champion manufacturing innovation to improve quality, productivity, scalability, and competitiveness.

Digitalization & Manufacturing Modernization

- Lead modernization initiatives including automation, digitalization, analytics, connected factory technologies, and smart manufacturing systems.
- Deploy systems that improve visibility, decision making, efficiency, quality, and workforce productivity.
- Establish integral standards for operational systems, performance measurement, and manufacturing technologies.

Global Alignment & Organizational Effectiveness

- Represent manufacturing and quality in business policy development and strategic decision making.
- Facilitate collaboration and alignment across global locations and business functions.
- Identify, share, and deploy best practices across manufacturing locations.
- Standardize processes, organizational design, policies, operating procedures, and KPIs across the global manufacturing network.

Talent Development & Leadership

- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing global operations and quality leadership team.
- Support recruitment, coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning for leaders and their teams.
- Conduct talent reviews to align leadership capability with current and future business needs.
- Foster accountability, continuous learning, employee engagement, and leadership development.

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP & EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION

- Represent S&M; operations, quality, and manufacturing strategy with CTS executive leadership, customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Build stakeholder relationships that support growth, operational performance, quality excellence, and strategic objectives.
- Present operational performance,



strategic initiatives, investment plans, and improvement activities to executive leadership as required.
- Lead special projects and strategic assignments as directed by senior leadership.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Executive-level experience in manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, Lean, continuous improvement, quality, finance, and business strategy; automotive experience preferred.
- Ability to make strategic decisions that affect the business unit’s performance and future direction.
- Strong strategic planning, verbal and written communication, and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to travel internationally, estimated at 50%.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, another technical discipline, or business management required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of executive-level manufacturing experience and 8 years of production and materials management experience.
- Automotive experience required.
- SAP experience preferred.
