Perform microbiological sampling, monitoring, inspections, and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, and finished productsExecute microbiological analyses and pass/fail determinations in accordance with established procedures and specificationsConduct confirmatory microbiological testing and investigations for non-conforming resultsGenerate accurate laboratory reports, analytical documentation, records, and data entries to ensure timely and reliable informationPrepare microbiological media, reagents, solutions, and laboratory materials while managing laboratory supplies and inventoriesEnsure proper verification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipmentLead the daily administration and organization of the Microbiology Laboratory while ensuring compliance with laboratory standardsSupport environmental monitoring programs and provide microbiological information to internal and external customersSupport compliance with food safety, quality,



and certification requirements, including HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, ISO 9001, BRCGS, Kosher, Halal, BASC, and SMETA programsWhat Makes You the Right Fit

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Engineering, Food Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in microbiology laboratories, quality control, food safety, or related analytical environmentsKnowledge of microbiological testing methodologies, laboratory techniques, and environmental monitoring programsExperience interpreting microbiological results and supporting investigations of non-conforming outcomesUnderstanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety systemsKnowledge of HACCP, environmental monitoring, allergen control, and food defense principlesExperience managing laboratory documentation, records, and analytical reportingIntermediate English proficiency preferredStrong leadership, decision-making, analytical thinking, organization, and communication skillsHow Would You Stand Out?
