This role supports a multi-location grocery and liquor store business by producing the full range of recurring marketing materials — bi-weekly circular ads, print mailers, social media post graphics, and in-store signage — on a fast-turnaround cadence. The specialist works directly from manager-provided pricing inputs and product details, sources product images, and designs finished materials by referencing an established library of prior templates and brand assets. This is a hands-on execution role: the specialist personally designs all materials — it is not a production-coordination, vendor-management, or team-lead position. All final approvals flow through senior managers, and social media post graphics are handed off to the designated social media manager for scheduling and publishing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Produce bi-weekly circular ads and print mailers for grocery and liquor store locations on deadline.
- Design social media graphics — feed posts, stories, and similar formats — at the direction of the social media manager.
- Create and fulfill in-store signage requests submitted by store staff across locations.
- Source product images and build finished designs from manager-provided product names and pricing inputs.
- Deliver design requests and revisions within 1 hour of receipt during working hours.




- Verify pricing accuracy on all materials against the source pricing sheet before submission for approval.
- Maintain and apply existing brand templates; establish documented brand guidelines if none are in place.
- Bring fresh creative judgment to existing materials — evolving templates and designs to genuinely increase customer engagement, not just replicating current output.
- Submit completed digital files for manager or owner approval and incorporate feedback through the revision cycle.

REQUIREMENTS

- 3 to 6 years of graphic design experience personally producing retail circulars, promotional ads, and print mailers — this role requires a hands-on creator, not someone who has managed designers, vendors, or a production process.
- Demonstrated experience designing social media graphics including feed posts and stories.
- Experience designing in-store signage and fulfilling ad hoc sign requests from non-design staff.
- Proven ability to turn around design requests and revisions within tight timeframes during business hours.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring pricing and promotional information matches source data with zero discrepancies.
- Ability to work within existing brand guidelines and templates, and to build or formalize them when none exist.
- Ability to source product images independently and produce print-ready digital files for submission.
- A personal portfolio demonstrating hands-on creative execution is required for consideration.

NICE TO HAVES

- Prior grocery, retail, or liquor store marketing experience — a stronger signal for this role than general marketing credentials or B2B/enterprise design backgrounds.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), or similar design tools.
- Print production knowledge including bleed, resolution, and mailer specifications.
- Social media content calendar or scheduling experience.
