The company is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Research & Development department. This position plays a strategic role in providing technical-commercial support to clients and identifying opportunities to strengthen business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify current and future client requirements by building professional relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Provide technical information regarding products and services.
- Establish new accounts and manage existing ones by identifying opportunities and planning sales schedules.
- Prepare cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation, in coordination with engineering staff and other professionals.
- Identify improvements through cost-benefit analysis and propose changes to equipment, processes, materials, or services.
- Build client confidence by explaining and demonstrating operational improvements and cost reductions.
- Manage orders in collaboration with the technical support team.
- Train client personnel by providing technical information and instruction.
- Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting and analyzing relevant data.
- Stay up-to-date on technical knowledge related to the products and solutions offered.
- Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and propose options and actions to address clients' short- and long-term concerns.
- Be available to travel 25% to 50% of the time to attend to clients.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
Required Profile
- Education
: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience
: 5 years in areas such as technical sales, marketing, costing, project management, or product management.
- Knowledge
: Marketing, sales, costing, ERP systems, and project/product management.
- Ability to work autonomously in remote environments.
