About the position
This is a locally engaged staff position at an overseas Australian Diplomatic Mission.
Th Executive Assistant works under limited direction to provide high-quality support and advice to the Ambassador and support overarching Embassy functions as required. This includes managing the Ambassador’s diary, travel, and playing a coordinating role in establishing meetings with political, economic, other government and private sector network contracts in Mexico and in countries of accreditation. The position works with the team to coordinate high level official events and senior official visits. Where required, this position might need to work outside of normal business hours.
Additional Information
The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs requires all local employees,
Mexican nationals or foreigners to obtain accreditation in order to perform work services for foreign entities and International Organizations. The accreditation will be requested by the Embassy once the successful candidate is identified.
This application is open to individuals of all nationalities, but requires that applicants are already authorized to work in Mexico.
The Fair Work Act 2009 is not intended to apply to the employment of Locally Engaged Staff at Australia’s overseas diplomatic and consular missions. Any successful candidate’s terms and conditions of employment will be governed by the laws of Mexico.
