Job Overview
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for all phases and implementation of large engineering projects over $250 million. This individual allocates appropriate resources and adjusts plans to meet project needs.
A Day In The Life

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:
Developing concepts for new and revised products maximizing function, safety, features, and user benefits while minimizing costs.
Directing preparation of models and lab testing as required to develop product.
Preparing and maintaining Project Control Charts and schedules.
Participating in meetings as required to communicate and coordinate projects with various departments within Hubbell.
Directing preparation of product drawings and checking completed drawings.
Preparing product standards and specifications and obtaining agency listings as required (UL/CSA, etc.).
Approving tooling, assemblies, and updating drawings. Releasing approved product for production.




Evaluating and implementing solutions to production problems with existing designs.
What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
5-8 years of experience in design and engineering support of Electro-Mechanical products (required)
Experience in design of high-volume products with emphasis in design of wiring products and small electro-mechanical products (required)
Knowledge of production techniques, engineering materials, drafting and documentation procedures
Knowledge of various standards agencies i.e. UL, CSA, etc.
Superior knowledge of materials
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for high-volume plastic molding and metal stamping
