ROLE SUMMARY

The Tool pusher has responsibility for the operational safety, efficiency, production and client
relations for the drilling unit. The Tool pusher provides onboard leadership and direction for
meeting the customers’ drilling program requirements within Fontis Energy’s programs,
policies and procedures.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and monitor rig preloading and leg penetration during rig movement and
placement.
• Plan and supervise rig activities such as repairs, daily maintenance of drilling fluids,
rigging up or down, etc. Ensure all activities are coordinated with a minimal loss of time
or effort.
• Order needed rig supplies, parts and materials, anticipating and requisitioning each
needed item ensuring items are on hand when needed.
• Make decisions regarding utilization of equipment,



making sure the rig and support
equipment is used properly and not endangered or damaged unnecessarily.
• Conduct daily operations meeting with OIM, Barge Engineer, Drillers, Crane Operators,
and other key personnel to plan, execute, and monitor major daily evolutions ensuring
safe and efficient operations.
• Write and/or approve weekly report in cooperation with the OIM on present drilling
operations, equipment status, material status, and supplies.
• Oversee the rig preventative maintenance program and coordinate maintenance
between operations, engineering, and marine departments.
• Any other matters as deemed necessary by Company Management.
