responsible for executing and supporting the organization's accounting operations within the b2r (book-to-report) process. The position ensures accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, compliance with corporate policies and ifrs standards, while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for latam operations. The role also provides support during internal and external audits and contributes to continuous process improvements.
major duties & responsibilities
- execute assigned accounting activities within the b2r process.
- prepare and support the latam reporting package.
- perform account reconciliations and maintain assigned risk control matrices.
- administer and monitor ifrs 16 lease accounting and ifrs 15 processes.
- support internal and external financial audits.
- prepare and control fixed asset accounting.
- perform bank reconciliations.
- maintain latam control checklists and compliance documentation.
- prepare and record accounting provisions.
- record and reconcile payroll accounting entries.
- process and control travel expense accounting.
- prepare amortization journal entries.
- ensure supporting documentation for all reconciliations complies with company policies.
- support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- analyze financial information and identify accounting discrepancies.
- collaborate with corporate, latam teams, subsidiaries, tax, controlling, p2p, inventory, cost accounting and fixed assets teams.
- participate in process improvement initiatives and internal control compliance.
basic qualifications
- bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 2–3 years of experience in general accounting.
- 2 years of experience in cost accounting and inventory control.
- 2 years of experience supporting internal and external audits.
- experience preparing financial statements and financial reporting.
- experience with fixed assets accounting.
- knowledge of corporate accounting and financial reporting.
- experience working in multinational organizations is preferred.
- big four experience is desirable.
- intermediate to advanced microsoft excel.
- knowledge of ifrs / international financial reporting standards.
