Gantrex is looking for a Crane Engineer to support the delivery and development of Crane Services projects across LATAM.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Sales Manager and the relevant internal teams, the Crane Engineer will provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from site assessment and quotation preparation to project execution and final handover.
Key responsibilities:
Perform crane diagnostics, including visual inspections, 3D scanning and vibration analysis and write detailed inspection reports.
Conduct technical site inspections at ports and industrial facilities.
Collect and provide accurate technical information to support quotation preparation.
Support Sales Managers during customer meetings when technical expertise is required.
Assess project requirements and contribute to initial cost estimates and forecasts.
Coordinate manpower, machinery and equipment requirements with the Project Manager.
Prepare detailed project plans in cooperation with the Project Manager.
Monitor site activities, allocated resources,



deadlines and contractual requirements during project execution.
Ensure the technical and quality compliance of all work performed, in accordance with Gantrex Group standards, guidelines and policies.
Monitor project costs and budgets in coordination with the Project Manager.
Support projects through to final handover to the customer.
Depending on project complexity, the Crane Engineer may be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle and will work closely with the various departments involved.
Additional tasks may be assigned according to the company’s priorities and the candidate’s skills and experience.
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or an equivalent field.
At least five years of technical experience in the port, crane or a similar industrial sector.
Good knowledge of crane mechanics and port operations; experience with port cranes is a strong asset.
