Inthisrole,youwillmanagetheoperationalpurchasingactivitiesforassigneddirectmaterialcategories,supporttheimplementationoflocal,regional,andglobalsourcingstrategies,andcollaboratecloselywithinternalstakeholdersandsuppliers. Youwillberesponsibleforsuppliernegotiations,costanalysis,contractimplementation,sourcingprojects,supplierperformance,andcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
Thepositionrequiresautonomy,stronganalyticalcapabilities,advancednegotiationskills,andtheabilitytooperateeffectivelyinamulticulturalandcross-functionalenvironment. Therolesupportsbothinternalandexternalcustomersandoffersapotentialdevelopmentpathtowardamanagementposition.
Key Responsibilities
Managepurchasingactivitiesforassigneddirectmaterialcategoriesinaccordancewith SKFpurchasingstrategies,policies,andestablishedframeworks.
Reviewpurchaserequisitionsandidentifyappropriatesourcesofsupplyforoperationalandspot-buyingrequirements.
Negotiatecommercialconditionsandexecutesupplieragreementswithintheassignedlevelofauthority.
Selectsuppliersandcontractsbasedonpurchasingstrategies,operationalrequirements,costcompetitiveness,quality,delivery,andapplicableprocedures.
Adviseinternalstakeholdersthroughoutthepurchasingcycle,includingtheevaluationofcost-effectivealternativesandtheresolutionofpurchasing-relatedissues.
Collaboratewithsuppliersandinternaluserstoresolvecommercial,operational,quality,andsupply-relatedconflicts.
Monitorsupplierperformanceaccordingtoestablished QCDIMprocessesandcoordinatecorrectiveactionswhenrequired.
Trackpurchasingspend,supplierpricing,materialcosts,forecasts,andvolumestosupportbusinessplanningandstandardcostcalculations.
Supporttheimplementationofpurchasingprocesses,systems,sustainabilityrequirements, CSRinitiatives,andsupplierdevelopmentactivities.
Participateinlocal,regional,andglobalstrategicsourcinginitiatives.
Providelocalmarketinformationandpurchasingdatatoglobalandregionalcategorymanagementteams.




Support RFIand RFPprocesses,includinginformationvalidation,supplierevaluation,andsupplierselection.
Collaboratewith Global Category Managersandinternalstakeholderstoensurethesuccessfullocalimplementationofsourcingstrategiesandnewcontracts.
Monitorcontractcompliancewithinternalstakeholdersandsuppliers,identifyingandimplementingcorrectiveactionswhennecessary.
Support Senior Buyersandthe Purchasing Managerinbiddingprocesses,suppliermanagement,andsourcinginitiativesforuniqueorspecializedcategories.
Executeinternalapprovalandindustrializationprocessesfornewprojects,ensuringalignmentwith APQP, QCDIM,andcustomer-specificrequirements.
Identify,analyze,validate,implement,andreportcost-savinginitiativesincollaborationwithsuppliers,categorymanagers,andinternalstakeholders.
Performallpurchasingactivitiesinaccordancewiththe SKFCodeof Conduct, Environmental Healthand Safetyrequirements,the Quality Management System,andapplicableinternalpolicies.

Professional
Experience4to6yearsofprofessionalexperienceindirectmaterialspurchasing,strategicsourcing,supplychain,orarelatedprocurementfunction.
Previousexperienceintheautomotiveorindustrialmanufacturingsector.
Experiencemanagingdirectmaterialcategoriessuchasmetalliccomponents,plastics,forgings,seals,orsimilarcommoditiesispreferred.
Demonstratedexperienceinsuppliermanagement,commercialnegotiations,sourcingprojects,andcost-savinginitiatives.
Experienceworkingwithmulticulturalandcross-functionalteams.
Experiencesupportingnewproductintroduction,industrialization,orsupplierdevelopmentprojectsisdesirable.
