what this job entails:

-position 100% remote.

the cad technician ii will be responsible for supporting a general organization of mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers, construction professionals, project managers and site operations experts who plan, build, and data center program managers.

scope:

- applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- works on problems of moderate scope
- receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects

your roles and responsibilities:

- assist the team with drawing updates as required.
- test cad applications.
- perform cad length calculations and quality checks.
- perform quality checks on current and future tools.
- collaborate with various teams to deploy components.
- assist in developing procedures for future client it deployments.
- develop data center, network or lab cable tray designs.
- support and backup team project managers.
- other duties as required.

required qualifications/skills:

- bachelor's degree (b.s/b.a) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- builds productive internal and external working relationships
- exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- understanding of complex spreadsheets.
- ability to work with a geographically diverse team.
- ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
- excellent analytical, quantitative, and presentation skills.
- understanding of at least two of the following: server hardware and software, network hardware and software, data center infrastructure and operations, mechanical and electrical systems.

preferred qualifications:

- knowledge of data center environments.

salary :

35,000 to 40,000 gross monthly
