Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer with Mechanical Design and Project Management skills located in Guadalajara North Campus. Reporting to the Automation Manager, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for leading and supporting automation projects from concept through implementation, combining strong mechanical design capabilities, hands‑on automation experience, and proven project management discipline.
What a typical day looks like
- Design, engineer, and modify automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, mechanical assemblies, and applications to automate manufacturing processes.
- Develop mechanical concepts, 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, technical manuals,



training documentation, preventive maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
- Lead automation projects through key phases including scope definition, supplier engagement, design review, build, debug, FAT, installation, SAT, and production ramp-up.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
- Apply automation knowledge including robotics, motion systems, pneumatics, sensors, machine vision, safety systems, controls integration, and industrial equipment commissioning.
- Drive technical problem solving, risk mitigation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement for automation equipment performance, uptime, safety, and quality.
