Job Title:Sterile Processing Technician
Job Summary:Responsible for maintaining and providing sterile instruments and supplies for surgery. Requires memorization skills and attention to detail.
Reports To:Surgical Services, Director | Surgical Services, Supervisor | Sterile Processing, Supervisor/Lead
Hourly Rate:$20.65-30.66 (hourly rate does not include overtime or bonuses which are not guaranteed)
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for sterile processing of instruments, equipment and supplies
- Collects, cleans, Inspects and reassembles instrument sets




- Knowledgeable and maintains competency in the cleaning and processing of sterile equipment, supplies and instruments
- Reviews operating room schedules, anticipating needs and/or conflicts with instrumentation or equipment
- Prepares items for sterilization based on knowledge of sterilization methods required for specific instruments/equipment.
- Properly identifies and delivers the correct items, in a timely fashion to appropriate areas including OR’s, procedure rooms or physician office locations if needed and requested.
- Prepares packs of supplies, instruments, dressing and treatment trays, according to designated lists or codes, and wraps, labels, and seals packs according to standards.
