As a food manufacturing company, we are currently seeking for a Plant Manager based on Mérida, Yucatán who lead the sustainable growth for a food company plant. Ensure strong results in safety, food safety, quality, service, cost, and people development. Align the organization and its processes with customer needs. Define and deliver the Technical Master Plan, Opex, and Capex plans. Deliver the monthly production plan, keep costs within budget and P&L; targets, and build an engaged, capable, and self-learning team that works well with the integral company and key partners.
1. Safety and compliance:
- Follow all food, safety, hygiene, and environmental laws.
- Prepare and coordinate internal, Group, and government audits. Close all findings.
- Coordinate government agencies, HSE consultants, and preventive actions.
- Include safety in all operating plans and daily routines.
2. Quality and food safety:
- Work with Quality Control and Quality Assurance to confirm that finished products and raw materials meet requirements.
- Put new formulas and procedures from R&D; into use.
- Prevent repeat issues and follow quality KPIs.
- Maintain process controls and traceability.
3. Service and production:
- Prepare, coordinate, and deliver the monthly production plan.
- Balance capacity, priorities, and resources to meet demand.
- Work with Logistics to ensure good storage, product availability, and accurate quality records in SAP.
4. Cost and profitability:
- Propose the annual Opex budget, balancing safety, quality, service, cost, and people.
- Report results, explain gaps, and take corrective action.
- Manage the factory budget in line with the P&L.;
- Improve productivity and yield, and control overtime.
5. Inventory and materials:
- Work with Purchasing to ensure raw materials arrive on time.
- Maintain strong inventory controls and accurate SAP records.
- Explain inventory, losses, obsolescence, and expenses with Finance.
6. People and organization:
- Build skills and capabilities at all levels.
- Turn business needs into training, succession, and performance plans.
- Manage staffing, engagement, turnover, and execution discipline.
7. Integration and improvement:
- Lead local and regional projects with the Group and management team.
- Integrate site people and processes into strong customer focus.
- Build effective relationships with Business Units and stakeholders.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- +5 years of operations management experience in a multinational company.
- +5 years of people management experience.
- Project management; production and quality procedures; food technology; SAP; Microsoft Office.
- +3 years of experience or strong exposure to operational finance.
- Advanced english level
