Position Overview:

The Payroll Administrator facilitates the payroll process for the US and other countries as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepares and processes semi-monthly domestic payroll
- Monitors and enforces non-exempt timekeeping policies
- Monitors and enforces paid time off submissions and approvals
- Aggregates and processes supplemental pay data
- Liaises with international and domestic HR teams to facilitate monthly payroll processing
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Monitors, maintains and troubleshoots state and local tax registrations and issues.
- Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related items and to ensure effective accounting support
- Interfaces with employees to answer all payroll related questions
- Process payment of all leaves of absence in compliance with all LOA laws (California’s Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and California Family Right’s Act (CFRA) and company policies based on information received from HR
- Ensures new employees are paid based on pro-rata calculation where applicable
- Ensures California State employees final pay checks are issued in accordance with the law and Bracket policy
- Includes all final Regular Wages,



Paid Time Off Buyout and any supplemental pay owed to the employee
- Ensures all non-California State employees final checks are issued in accordance with the law and Signant Health policy
- Includes Regular Wages and any supplement wages
- Paid Time Off Buyout (“PBO”) to be paid in pay date following the final regular earnings check as defined by state law
- Prepares and issues manual checks as needed
- International payrolls – provides assistance as needed to Integral Payroll Manager and International HR teams
- - Runs various audit reports throughout the payroll cycle to review HRIS updates to prevent overpayments
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
- Ad Hoc reporting as required

Skills & Competencies:

Education - Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

- Must have 3-5 years payroll experience
- Ceridian Dayforce experience highly preferred
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven track record of reliability, confidentiality and excellent work habits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and operate around payroll cycle schedule
- Ability to work independently and perform self-checks and work review procedures
