SARELLY

México

Reports to: Anna Sarelly, Founder & Creative Director

Location: Mexico City

Type: Full-time

Experience: 3+ years

ABOUT SARELLY

SARELLY is one of Mexico’s fastest-growing beauty brands, born at the intersection of beauty, culture, entertainment and community.

Founded by Anna Sarelly and Rémi Martini, SARELLY is building a new generation of beauty brand: culturally relevant, social-first and deeply connected to its community.

After becoming one of Mexico’s most exciting emerging beauty players, the brand is now entering its next chapter of growth, with major retail expansion across Mexico and the U.S.

Creativity is at the heart of everything we do—from product and packaging to campaigns, social content, retail experiences and entertainment. We are looking for someone who wants to help shape and protect a distinctive creative universe as SARELLY scales.

THE ROLE

SARELLY is looking for an Associate Art Director to ensure Anna Sarelly’s creative vision is consistently and flawlessly executed across every brand touchpoint. Reporting directly to Anna Sarelly, Founder & Creative Director, this person will work closely with her and with our Marketing and Creative teams, acting as the bridge between big-picture creative direction and day-to-day execution—translating campaign ideas into cohesive visual systems, guiding multidisciplinary teams, leading art direction, and ensuring everything we put into the world feels unmistakably SARELLY.

This is not a purely managerial role. We are looking for someone who can think, direct and make.

Someone with exceptional visual taste who can lead a shoot, ensure the vision is executed properly across different touchpoints, build moodboards, challenge layouts, guide designers, give meaningful feedback on social content, and step into execution when needed.

Most importantly, this role serves as the primary creative filter between Anna and the execution teams—protecting her time by determining what requires her input versus what can be independently resolved within established creative and brand standards.

Ultimately, your job is simple: Protect the creative vision from concept to execution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

01 — Translate Creative Vision

Work directly with Anna to transform high-level campaign ideas, cultural insights and creative concepts into actionable visual direction.

You will help define and maintain consistency across:

- Campaign visual systems
- Art direction
- Content pillars
- Social expressions
- Photography and video execution
- Retail adaptations
- Graphic design systems
- Social media assets
- Launch moments
- Digital assets
- Creator executions

You should be able to take a big idea and understand how it lives across an entire brand ecosystem—ensuring it remains visually coherent at every touchpoint.

02 — Lead Creative Execution

Own the execution of creative projects from briefing through final delivery.

Translate creative direction into clear, precise briefs for designers, photographers, videographers, editors, content creators, agencies, freelancers and brand creative production partners.

Ensure teams understand not only what they need to create, but why it matters to the overall vision.

Coordinate execution across multiple workstreams while maintaining consistency, quality and delivery timelines.

03 — Art Direct

Lead and support art direction across all brand outputs, including:

- Campaign shoots
- Social content shoots
- Product photography
- Video content
- E-commerce visuals
- Creator content
- Brand activations
- Retail experiences

You should feel comfortable making decisions around composition, lighting, styling, casting, props, sets, typography, motion and visual storytelling.

You will sometimes co-lead major campaigns with Anna and other times independently lead executions while maintaining full alignment with her vision.

04 — Own Creative Quality Control

Act as a guardian of the SARELLY visual universe.

Review creative output across teams and provide clear, actionable feedback before work reaches Anna.

This includes:

- Social content
- Reels / Tik Toks
- Photography
- Video edits
- Graphic design
- Campaign adaptations
- Retail assets
- Creator content
- Digital assets
- Brand presentations

Your responsibility is not simply to ask:

“Does this look good?”

It is to ask:

“Does this feel like SARELLY—and does it stay true to our creative vision?”

Act as the final creative checkpoint before work is escalated, ensuring Anna is only involved in decisions that genuinely require strategic creative direction.

05 — Lead Social & Content Execution

Partner closely with Social, Content, Growth and Market Pods to translate global campaign ideas into culturally relevant, platform-native executions.

Act as the primary creative interface between the Creative Studio and Growth teams, translating integral creative direction into clear execution frameworks that allow local teams to execute autonomously while respecting SARELLY’s creative and brand guidelines.

The role provides creative direction and quality standards for social content but does not own the overall social media calendar, channel strategy or publishing cadence, which remain the responsibility of the relevant Social/Growth teams.

You will:

- Refine visual consistency across social outputs
- Improve execution of tone of voice, edits and formats
- Identify opportunities for stronger visual storytelling
- Maintain brand coherence in fast-moving content cycles
- Ensure local market adaptations remain faithful to the global creative vision

Balance brand-building with the speed and spontaneity social requires.

06 — Strengthen the Creative Team Through Execution

Help raise the overall executional standard of the team.

Give clear, direct and constructive feedback focused on craft and consistency.

Mentor designers and content creatives in:

- Layout
- Composition
- Visual hierarchy
- Brand consistency
- Execution quality

Create clarity when teams feel stuck and ensure the creative vision is understood and properly translated at every level.

Coordinate and prioritize work across Brand Design, Photo & Video, freelance creative resources and production partners, ensuring the right people are focused on the highest-impact work.

The goal is not for everything to depend on you.

The goal is to ensure the entire team executes at a higher standard.

07 — Own Creative Studio Operations

Own the day-to-day operating rhythm of the Creative Studio.

You will be responsible for:

- Creative calendar management
- Project prioritization
- Creative briefs
- Review processes
- Resource coordination
- Delivery planning
- Cross-functional communication

Own creative prioritization and capacity planning across internal teams, freelancers and external partners.

When resources cannot support every request, proactively bring forward recommendations and proposed trade-offs—not just problems—for alignment with Anna.

Protect the quality of output while ensuring the Creative Studio operates efficiently at scale.

08 — Stay Hands-On

We are looking for a creative leader who still loves making things.

You should be comfortable working in:

- Adobe Creative Suite
- Moodboards
- Presentations
- Layouts
- Visual references
- Creative treatments
- On-set problem solving

You do not need to execute every asset yourself.

But you must understand the craft deeply enough to elevate every piece of work.

THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You can walk into a room with designers, marketers, photographers, editors, producers, agencies and external partners and speak everyone’s language.

You understand that your role is to protect the brand, elevate execution and create clarity for the entire creative organization.

You have:

- Exceptional visual taste
- Strong art direction skills
- A portfolio showing both concept understanding and execution excellence
- Experience leading shoots and visual productions
- Experience working with multidisciplinary creative teams
- Strong project and creative workflow management skills
- The ability to prioritize multiple creative initiatives simultaneously
- Experience managing agencies, freelancers or external production partners
- A strong understanding of social-first creative
- High cultural awareness
- Excellent communication and feedback skills
- Strong organizational instincts
- High attention to detail
- The ability to move between thinking and making
- Professional proficiency in English and Spanish

Experience in beauty, fashion, lifestyle or culturally driven brands is highly valued.

You can zoom out to understand the brand and zoom in to question a crop, a typeface, a transition or a layout decision.

Most importantly, you know how to take a creative vision, understand its intention, and make sure it is executed at the highest possible standard across every touchpoint—while enabling teams to move faster and more independently.

HOW WE’LL MEASURE SUCCESS

Within your first 6 months:

Creative consistency

Anna’s creative vision is clearly and consistently translated across campaign, social, retail and digital outputs.

Execution quality

The overall standard of visual execution across the team improves noticeably.

Creative autonomy

Day-to-day creative execution can move forward with minimal Creative Director intervention, with teams confidently operating within established creative standards.

Creative Studio effectiveness

The Creative Studio operates with clear priorities, efficient workflows and balanced resource allocation, resulting in fewer bottlenecks and stronger on-time delivery.

Team elevation

Designers and content creatives become more confident in executing the vision independently, while agencies and external partners receive clearer direction and require fewer revision rounds.

Creative Director leverage

Anna spends significantly more time on vision, concepting and innovation rather than execution oversight, creative triage and day-to-day decision making.

APPLICATION

A portfolio will requested to apply to this role. We are particularly interested in seeing examples of:

- Art direction and campaign work
- Photography and/or video productions
- Social-first creative
- Brand and visual identity execution
- Projects where you translated a creative concept across multiple touchpoints
- Your specific role and contribution to each project
