As a Materials Planner you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Manages the flow of materials from suppliers to the manufacturing plant by monitoring inventory levels, lead times, and supply risks.
Collaborates closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Suppliers to ensure operational continuity and support business objectives. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Guadalupe, NL plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, international business, international relations, supply chain management, commerce, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role with direct involvement in production-related processes and frequent interaction with the manufacturing floor to investigate impacts and potential future operational issues.
Responsibilities
- Plan material requirements using MRP/ERP systems.
- Analyze inventory levels and manage obsolescence risks.
- Follow up with suppliers and expedite material deliveries as needed.
- Manage material shortages and recovery plans.
- Develop and communicate supplier forecasts.
- Track and achieve KPIs, including OTD, Inventory Turns, and Past Due metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
- Fluent English level.
- Strong analytical skills.
- High level of discipline and organization.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, or other ERP systems is preferred.
