The SAP BASIS Administrator is responsible for performing all SAP BASIS activities. This role will provide guidance on the design architecture relevant to SAP, installation of the SAP software, and maintain and support multiple instances of SAP landscape. The administrator must troubleshoot problems, optimize the system for maximum performance, and have knowledge of all interfacing components. This role will collaborate with and support the functional developers and analysts providing technical resolutions. The administrator will be responsible for supporting all NetWeaver applications and customizing Solution Manager for our installation.

- Architectural design, deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of multiple SAP landscapes - ECC 6.0, Solution Manager, SAP BW/BPC 7.5, Business Object, SCM, SAP TM Component, and other non-SAP components with SAP interfaces (configuration).
- Operational support for SAP systems and technical application infrastructure, including Solution Manager, CCMS, and CTS management.
- Proactively monitor systems and perform root cause analysis of production, QA and development system issues using CCMS, Solution Manager, and other 3rd party software.
- Administer and execute release management for Enhancement Packages, Support Packs, and upgrade paths for all SAP components.
- Provide a stable SAP landscape with performance management, application optimization, tuning, and load balancing.
- Perform SAP application upgrades and Enhancement Package activations.
- Develop, design, and document SAP Disaster Recovery Procedures and test regularly.




- Perform daily system checks of all logs and keep records to determine system usage growth, file system growth, and help plan future infrastructure requirements.
- Support infrastructure services in the technical integrations of integral 3rd party applications (like VERTEX, Paymetrics, Seeburger, EDI, OPENTEXT, as needed) with SAP.
- Implement Batch Reporting procedures and operational modes as needed.
- Support the SAP Security Administrator.
- Support the SAP Client Services organization with SAPGUI installations and problem resolutions.
- Maintain strong and effective working relationships with SAP Application owners and the IT Infrastructure team.
- Administer and maintain SAP system accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while managing timelines with tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to execute against deadlines.
- Ability to present data in a consistent and clear manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed to work with various levels of technical and managerial staff members.

Education/Certifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent required.

Experience:

- 4+ years of experience in SAP support.
- SQL database knowledge preferred
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a complex environment.
- Knowledge or experience of VMware
- Working knowledge of system administration and application administration procedures, not limited to SAP.
- Ability to distill technical material down into a message that can be understood across the enterprise.
