This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounting Lead based in Mexico.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to lead the technical accounting function within a fast-growing fintech environment. You will play a central role in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and accounting integration. The position offers broad visibility across the organization and regular interaction with executive leadership, auditors, regulators, and cross-functional teams. You will lead month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant. A key focus will be integrating a newly acquired regulated financial institution and standardizing accounting practices across the Group. This role is idóneo for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a hands-on, ownership-driven approach to problem solving.

Accountabilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial close processes,



ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial information.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican NIF and support IFRS and CNBV regulatory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and supporting evidence.
- Lead the accounting integration of a newly acquired SOFIPO, ensuring appropriate processes, controls, and reporting structures are established.
- Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and charts of accounts across the organization.
- Strengthen internal controls, identify accounting risks, and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Partner with Treasury, Tax, FP&A;, Operations, Product, and other teams on strategic and finance-related initiatives.
