As a Operations Jr. Manager you will play a key role in overseeing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. In this role, you will:

Lead daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and output targets are consistently met.

Manage and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.

Oversee unionized workforce management, including labor negotiations and conflict resolution.

Drive production planning activities, including BOM management and material flow optimization.

Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, One Piece Flow, Six Sigma).

Ensure compliance with quality systems and manufacturing standards.

Monitor and control production costs, including absorption costing and budget adherence.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as quality, engineering, and supply chain.

Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, ensuring operational stability and rapid issue resolution

Bring solid experience in production management, line operations, and leadership of supervisory teams.

Demonstrate strong experience managing unionized personnel and labor negotiations.

Apply knowledge of production planning, BOM structures, and materials management.

Have hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Possess knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and standards.

Demonstrate solid financial understanding (P&L;, budgeting, direct and indirect costs).

Have proven experience in cost control and absorption costing methodologies.

Bring experience in metal-mechanical industries such as machining, grinding, or heat treatment.

Show strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a hands-on approach.

Be proficient in SAP or Oracle (preferred) and advanced Excel.
