Core Molding Technologies is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to support employee health and safety programs at our manufacturing facility. This role provides first aid and medical support to employees, supports workplace health initiatives, and helps prevent and manage workplace injuries and health risks.
The Occupational Health Nurse will also support pre-employment and periodic medical evaluations, maintain required health and safety records, coordinate with IMSS, and provide training and guidance on first aid and workplace health practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide first aid and medical attention to employees as needed
* Refer employees who are injured or ill to IMSS or other appropriate medical care
* Conduct pre-employment medical examinations for new hires
* Conduct annual internal medical examinations and examinations required by STPS
* Prepare and maintain documentation and records related to workplace injuries and accidents
* Coordinate workplace health programs with IMSS and support community health initiatives
* Monitor and analyze the frequency and severity of workplace incidents and accidents
* Support accident prevention and workplace health initiatives
* Maintain required health and safety statistics and records
* Support the Joint Health and Safety Commission (Comisión Mixta de Seguridad e Higiene)
* Organize, control, and appropriately distribute medications and medical supplies
* Provide first aid training to employees
* Audit and evaluate the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Participate in workplace environmental evaluations to help identify and prevent health risks
* Manage and maintain medical equipment and supplies
* Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO, and applicable environmental and health requirements
* Promote workplace discipline, cleanliness, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices
* Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical and other applicable waste in accordance with company and environm
