Job Summary
This role is responsible for the complete verification and validation of the new products and working with a cross-functional team to continually improve testing of existing products.
This individual will scope test plans, write test procedures, perform test execution and review and analyze results and will be capable of providing technical expertise in the design, programming, installation, testing and qualification of modules, systems, and equipment to test the electro-mechanical aspects of the products. They will collaborate with Operations and Production teams in NPI and the testing of returned units, collecting data and analyzing patterns.
Job Description
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and implement test development and improvement projects from conception to completion
Identify and keep track of best-in-class processes for testing to qualify/implement into the organization.
Work with a cross-functional team to evaluate, procure, and qualify new manufacturing test equipment
Supporting Engineering lab team whose activities include the use of test equipment and instrumentation to test product designs, customer and certification requirements.
Work with a cross functional Engineering team to test products from development through qualification and production release.
Hands-on testing to verify and validate products meets the required specifications.
Supporting failure investigations and analyzing issues to root cause and support implementation and verification of the corrective actions.
Participate and provide feedback in Design Reviews for New Product Development and continuous improvement projects
Documentation of test procedures and processes for the use and maintenance of testing solutions
Analyze existing electro-mechanical and software test fixtures and processes and make continuous, incremental improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master of Science in Electronic Engineering
Qualifications:
Strong project management skills and process orientation. Ability to assess needs, design and implement processes across multi-disciplinary groups to achieve the organization goals
Working knowledge of power electronics products and components; SCR, TRIAC, IGBT and MOSFET technology, inverters, dc-dc converters and switching power supplies
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data
Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, power supplies and other standard EE lab equipment
Familiarity with design for manufacturing, reliability and robustness validation testing
Familiarity with automated test equipment, product and system level testing
Experience with development of test programs for Electro-mechanical product verification
Knowledge of Product Development and Manufacturing processes
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple people and managing multiple and diverse tasks/projects
Experience with new product introductions
Experience in ISO9001 manufacturing environment
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience:
Required: 3 years of applicable experience in a product development/Production environment and Test Engineering.
Desirable: At least 4+ years of applicable experience in a product development/production environment and Test Engineering

English
