Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end processing for U.S. biweekly and monthly payroll cycles, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations and requirements for exempt and non-exempt employees, including union and non-union populations, garnishments, and bonus and severance payment processing.
- Assist in the resolution of payroll errors and system issues by analyzing payroll-related data, conducting research, and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help define and implement standards for new payroll processes.
- Maintain U.S. payroll records and files in accordance with company policies and applicable record retention requirements; support responses to internal and external information requests as needed.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of U.S. payroll procedures, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in periodic reviews and audits of payroll-related processes to ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Finance, Compensation, Benefits, Human Resources, and other business partners; serve as a resource for U.S. payroll-related inquiries and requests.
- Support payroll compliance and control activities, including SOX testing and audit requirements.
- Process stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), dividend equivalent units (DEUs), and other equity-related payroll transactions as required.
- Participate in payroll system testing activities, including upgrades, enhancements, patches, and implementations.
- Review payroll audit reports and exception reports to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in all U.S. payroll year-end activities, including W-2 preparation, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
