The Plant Manager ensures safe and reliable finished product is delivered in a cost effective and efficient manner without harm to people or the environment. The Plant Manager reports into the Integrated Supply Chain organization.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:The roles and responsibilities are broken down into five main key performance indicator (KPI) categories listed below as well as the tasks associated to each of those categories:Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)Owns the Area/Location HSE Strategy & MetricsOwns the Area/Location Metrics, Measures and Targets for Plant HS&EDrive; “Perfect HSE Day” campaign throughout Area/LocationDrives leadership engagements across the organization (Five Fundamentals of a Perfect HSE Day) – ensures integrity and thorough understanding of the Perfect HSE Day c campaignEnsure safe operating environment for all employees. Identification and control of risks in the work areas / identify specific training to prepare employees before undertaking their tasksEnsure reporting and transparency of all HSE incidents, and thorough investigation completed with corrective actions implementedEnsure, Develop and Implement an HSE Ideas Platform – review, voting and approval. Investing in local initiativ ens to develop global solutionsPresent any recordable incidents in area of responsibility to the Incident Review Board (IRB)Work with HSE representatives in ensuring goal alignmentConduct monthly HSE communications to ensure full compliance to; PL & OFS requirements for PPE, HSE Checklist, Permits to Work, MOC s, ORA/HRA, Site Evaluations, HSE Modules, Waste Disposal, Sump/Oil Water Separator Maintenance and any other site specific HSE requirementsReview required monthly Hazard Hunts from each of your locations and look for trends to communicate back for improvement opportunitiesWork with HSE reps for your area /location to conduct and participate in routine HSE audits, HH’s and Safety discussionDelivery/ProductionOwns the Ready in Manufacturing / Productivity Strategy PlantOwns the Metrics, Measures and Targets for Plant Production, On-Time Supply and Productivity for the PlantEnsure production schedule and job planning process is in place and being executed across areaReview plant throughput and efficiency,



identify opportunities where labour hrs or parts consumption are higher or lower than normal – investigate and develop action plans to address6S and Lean – Ensure 6S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain and Safety) strategy in place and executed as per plan across the globeBe the primary link between the Plant and Product Line Global Supply ChainAny needs, changes, tempos, goals, financials, HC, M&E;, incidents (HSE or Quality), NTI, Customer requirements, etc. for the Plant must be owned by the Plant Manager and approved by the PL Global Supply Chain Leader in order to keep the plants standardized and laser focused on Service Delivery expectationsElevate any Inventory needs/shortages immediately that may impact Plant’s ability to meet OPS Demands on-time and operat e the plant most efficientlyDeliver plant level monthly update and KPI s to see if any adjustments required to better mee t and exceed all expectations. Elevate any issues immediately for support driving most favorable results forwardEnsure plant has formal preventive maintenance and contingency plans in place for production equipment.QualityDefines the Quality Strategy for plantDefines the Metrics, Measures and Targets for Plant QualityDrive “Perfect Quality Day” for plantEnsure all Manufacturing policies, processes, procedures, workflows, plant equipment, signage, personnel, etc. adhere only to the approved global standardsEnsure appropriate, compliant, accurate and timely data entry for all associated systems of record; SAP, MaPS, PRIDE and AMO Work CenterEnsure Plant is clean and organized at all timesReport up any facility issues to real-estate contacts for site and region immediately and follow -up to ensure timely completion. Elevate if necessary.FinancialDevelop and meet the financial plan of the Plant (hours,



cost)Review and ensure that the plant is moving and managing Rental Assets in full accordance PL Asset Management expectations and policies to contribute to our CE and Utilization metricsEnsure the proper Production Supplies are being ordered consistently on items for your plant and that your Supervisors are appropriately managing usage to prevent abuse/unnecessary costReview 3rd Party (Inspection & Machine Shop) pricing and service levels periodically (at least bi-annually) to ensure they meet MFG Production needs and MFG Cost efficiencies. Communicate any opportunities to PL Sourcing & Procurement and PL Global Supply Chain Leader to support driving favorable results forwardEnsure and review that Plant is fully utilizing 6S & Lean principles, reach out for any assistance needed to PL General Supply Chain LeaderOvertime Approvals, Financial Efficiency and StandardizationReview Labor Rate for accuracy every 6 monthsSupport any M&E; management needs; transfers, scrap, counts, tagging, AFE, etc.People/EmployeesOwns the Employee and Talent Strategy for PlantOwns the Metrics, Measures and Targets for Plant Employee & TalentFoster a positive, respectful and inclusive work environment across the Plant; instilling our Company Values throughout all our day-to-da y activities and communicationsMeet frequently with each of your Shop Floor Supervisors and Team Leads to ensure all expectations are being met and any other long term & short term goals are addressed to schedule, etc.Meet frequently with the various Internal Customers and Functional leads to confirm that they are getting what they need from Plant per expectationsParticipate and support Plant employees with career progression. Communicate any opportunities to HR, COE’s and PL Global Supply Chain Leader for support driving favorable results forwardBe fully engaged and lead all hiring, RIF, termination, discipline, PD reviews, etc. related to your Plant teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Plant Management.Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
